How to Get Instagram Access Token

Getting an Instagram Access Token can be a bit confusing, but we’ve got you covered. Follow these simple steps to get your Access Token and start displaying your Instagram feed on your store.

Step 1 – Register Application on Facebook for Developers & Generate Instagram Token

• Before getting your Access Token, you need to create an app on Facebook for Developers. To do this, log into Facebook, go to Facebook Developers Account, and click the Create App button.
• Then click on My Apps at the top of the page.

• Next, click on Create App button.

• Select Other and click Next

• Check on Consumer and click Next

• Enter in your App name (the App name should not consist of Insta keyword) and click Create App button.

• Please click on the Setup button in the Instagram Basic Display box.

• Then click on Create New App at the bottom of the page

• The next step is to scroll down to the User Token Generator section and click the ‘Add or Remove Instagram Testers’ button. Then, in the Instagram Testers box, enter your Instagram username and click ‘Submit.’ You will see the ‘Apps and Websites’ link; click on this link to accept the account you just invited to Instagram Testers

• Go to Dashboard and select Products -> Instagram Basic Display -> Basic Display and click Generate Token button.

Step 2 – Paste the Access Token to the Instagram Section

After this token is generated, please copy the token and paste to the Access Token field.
